Corporate Catering in Lehi

Well wasn’t that a whirlwind December! As it usually is, the month was intense, filled with events for Rockwell while also trying to keep up with our families and their traditions. By the time December 24th rolls around, we all breath a big sigh of relief, count our blessings and settle in for a long winter’s nap. We did a lot of corporate catering in Lehi and beyond. From North Salt Lake to Payson, it was go go go! And we truly couldn’t be more grateful for our customers and the trust they put in us. Let’s do a quick overview of the corporate catering in Lehi for December of 2019!

Family parties

There were a couple of private parties sprinkled in with the many corporate events that kept us busy. These private events were mostly family parties. The hosts wanted to take the stress off themselves and just hand it off to us. That’s a wise choice! We come in, set up, provide great, quality food, clean up and quietly disappear through the back door. We especially enjoyed working with a family in the foothills of Sandy. Their beautiful home was the perfect setting for a holiday party and we served up our usual traditional holiday menu. Thank you Raddon family! We can’t wait until next Christmas

Another family party was for the England family. They hosted their event at Noahs in South Jordan. This event was unique because they run a family business, so the event was for their family and also their employees, which they treat like family. We have worked with the England family for the past 3 years and it’s always great to catch up and see how things have been over the last year. They have become good friends and we always look forward to working with them.

Corporate events

As one might assume, the bulk of events we do in December are for corporate catering in Lehi. We get to see our usual customers, but also some new faces. One new face was a premier local insurance company. We put together a high-class event at The Complex in Salt Lake City. The setting and ambiance were all the work of In The Event, one of the best event planning companies out there. We did a 3-entree option, sit-down service for 300 people including a super indulgent dessert spread. An event like this requires more staff than usual and it was fun getting our usual staff together with some newer faces. We worked hard as a team and the event came off beautifully.

One of our favorite companies to work with is a local food manufacturer. When it comes to corporate catering in Lehi, they knew who to come to. We had actually done an event for them when they were renovating a few years ago, but the construction company left without giving our information out. The owners of the company had been trying to find us for a few years and when they tracked us down, they were thrilled! And so were we. We did a traditional holiday meal for them, which oddly enough wasn’t on too many menus this December. It seems the trend was to steer towards more non-traditional holiday fare. Admittedly, we want to do more holiday menus! We don’t get to do traditional turkey and ham with all the fixings enough!

Holiday weddings

Love is in the air in December! It often surprises people to know that we do plenty of weddings in December. It isn’t all corporate catering in Lehi! This December seemed to have a theme of us doing the family luncheon after the ceremony and then the reception. We always recommend this because we can cut our costs and give our customers a better price when they bundle events like that. One family we loved working with was the Meyer family. Both the luncheon and the reception were at Southworth Hall in Provo. The parents of the bride were from Colorado, so there were plenty of phone calls back and forth.

One fun thing was that we got to help with the proposal. True story! The bride and groom were already engaged, but the ring hadn’t been finished yet. The groom called before the tasting and asked if Ethan could help him propose. He dropped off the ring earlier in the day and set up the plan. After the food was tasted, Ethan came back out with a plate that had a ring box on it. Right then and there, the groom got down on his knee and officially proposed. The mother of the bride called earlier and asked if Ethan could record the whole thing, so luckily we have the whole thing on video. It was such a delight to be apart of this couple’s love story from the ring to the reception.

Squeezing one last event in

Once Christmas came and went, we actually had one more event to squeeze in before the year ended. And it was a wedding too. It was again a luncheon and a reception together, so we had plenty of prep to do. We have to be honest though, it was hard to take off the Christmas jammies, put on a chef’s coat and get back at it! It’s our amazing customers that have us coming back every time. They are a delight to work with.

The family luncheon was first held at the local church building and it included over 100 guests. Then the reception was a few blocks down at the family home, which was lovely and the perfect setting for a reception for friends and family. The family we worked with the perfect ending to a stellar 2019. They seemed to embody the exact reasons why we do what we do. Customers that become good friends!

Looking ahead

As we cruise into 2020, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for this past year. We met our goals, both as a business and as individuals. We were able to rise to the challenge of new event ideas, try out new equipment in the kitchen and bring our very best to the table. From a three day event at Bear Lake to the small corporate luncheons right near our commercial kitchen, we were all over the Salt Lake and Utah Valleys. Come at us 2020 and corporate catering in Lehi, we are ready for you! We would love to guide you through the process of planning your events in 2020. Drop us a line. Let’s collaborate!
