- This tip is obvious, but figure out what time of year you want to get married and book a wedding venue according to the seasons. Obviously, you won’t want an outdoor wedding venue in the winter. But there are options that make it feel like you are outside. Like a greenhouse wedding venue! Those bring the tropics inside and make you forget about the snow outside.
- Decide how many people you want to attend your wedding. If you have a lot of people, consider an outdoor wedding venue. This will make it feel open and not cramped. When you have a couple hundred people in one room, it can feel small fast! So maybe try an indoor wedding venue when you have smaller numbers.
- If you are getting married away from where your reception is going to be, consider how far people have to drive. If you get married in Provo, it’s probably not a good idea to look at wedding venues in Logan, Utah. But if you are getting married in Park City, venues in Salt Lake City, Utah could be a great idea.
- Think of the amenities the wedding venue has. We will be straight up here, we prefer a wedding venue that has a kitchen and staging area. Just a place for us to make sure the food looks great before we send it out. There are plenty of inexpensive wedding venues throughout Utah County and Salt Lake County that provide ample space for caterers to work their magic.
- What about cost? There are high-end wedding venues and then there are inexpensive wedding venues in Utah. In fact, there are some downright cheap wedding venues Utah! Usually, the cheaper ones are going to go faster, so book those quickly. Affordable Utah wedding venues aren’t as hard to find as you might think.
